SLC Update 22: Competition Schedules

Competition schedule times have been posted on the Pennsylvania FBLA website and the Guidebook conference app for individuals and team specific performancw events. What is posted on these documents is “official.”
As you get ready to come to Hershey to compete, make you are prepared:
- to meet the dress code requirements
- have their picture ID’s in your possession
- read the event guidelines
- review the rubric for how the judges will evaluate competitors
If you are coming for objective tests, make sure you come with a fully-charged device such as a laptop or a tablet. Phone are not compatible with the BluePanda testing system. Students taking objective tests must also meet dress code requirements and present picture ID requirements. Do not assume a picture on a phone meets the ID requirement.
Why picture IDs?
There are “impersonators” that exist among us… yes, even at FBLA conferences there have been incidents where other FBLA members have attempted to take tests and/or perform while impersonating other students. It has been attempted here in Pennsylvania and at the national level.
The picture ID process at check-in helps to maintain the integrity of the competitive events process and make competition fair for all FBLA members.
Guidebook App
If you have not already done so, make sure you have downloaded the Guidebook app on your mobile device. All competition schedules, professional development workshops, and other activities will be listed on the Guidebook app. This is the only method of acquiring this information. Printed event schedules will not be available.
