Use the Journal to account for each of the professional development learning activities in which you participate.
Event Guidelines
Event time shall include all workshops, competitive event observations, exhibit visitation, and other duties as assigned. Event time does not include meals or other personal activities.
Objective test takers that are not presenting should complete a minimum of ten (10) hours.
Competitors in a one-day presentation event will complete a minimum of five (6) hours.
Competitors in a two-day presentation (if qualified) will complete a minimum of three (3) hours.
Professional Development
Students are responsible for attending sessions in order to acquire professional development credits.
Professional Development Workshops
count as 1 hour
Meetings & Information Sessions
count as 30 minutes
Career Booth Visitation
count as 15 minutes per career booth maximum 1 hour
4 observations are required to total one hour, credit will only be awarded as a full hour
Competitive Event Observation
count as 15 minutes per observation
4 observations are required to total one hour, credit will only be awarded as a full hour
Exhibit Visitation
count as 15 minutes per exhibit visited maximum 1 hour
4 observations are required to total one hour, credit will only be awarded as a full hour
Campaign Visitation
count as 15 minutes per campaign booth maximum 1 hour
4 observations are required to total one hour, credit will only be awarded as a full hour
Please remember to complete an Journal entry for each workshop, career expo booth, competitive event or other session that you attend.
