SLC Update 21: Sunday Forecast at Hersheypark®

As we approach the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference the final details are all coming together. Unfortunately, there is a very good chance that the advance unpredictability of the weather will work against our best plans at Hersheypark®.

The forecast for Sunday in Hershey, Pennsylvania:

While we are not prepared to make a binding decision in advance of Sunday, there is a very high likelihood that LCTI FBLA members will NOT be attending Hersheypark®. This is not a decision that we will take lightly. However, it is in the best interest for all of our members that they not attend Hersheypark during inclement weather events in order to ensure their own safety and the safety of others. Please remember that rides will close at Hersheypark® in the event that thunderstorms are in the area. This will result in no opportunity to ride until the attractions reopen. Once a person enters Hersheypark®, that ticket is considered ‘used’ and no refunds will be issued even in the event of inclement weather. The ultimate decision on Hersheypark® will be finalized by 9:00am upon arrival in Hershey.

LCTI FBLA members and their families that had planned on an afternoon in Hersheypark® will have two options to make in advance of departure for the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference:

• REFUND:
  A refund in the amount of $50.00 will be issued upon our return from the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference to any LCTI FBLA member that had paid for a Hersheypark® ticket(s)
• ACCEPT HERSHEYPARK® TICKET:
  The LCTI FBLA member may accept the Hersheypark® ticket to use on any day during the 2025 operating season. This ticket will be honored by Hersheypark® until January 1, 2026.

Please discuss these ticket options with your family and decide upon the best option in your particular situation.

In the event that Hersheypark® activities are cancelled, the Team BETSY tour of the Pennsylvania Capitol building will also be cancelled in order to facilitate transportation using the modified rain contingency schedule.
