SLC Update 09: IMPORTANT! National Leadership Conference Scholarship

National Leadership Conference Scholarship!
The FBLA National Leadership Conference Scholarship is a program designed to help fund conference and travel-related costs for FBLA High School members to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference.
During the March 18, 2025 meeting of the LCTI FBLA Executive Leadership Council, it was decided that the minimum out-of-pocket cost for LCTI FBLA members to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference will be at least $695.00. The entire cost to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim will likely be between $5,000 and $6,000. Every dollar to help offset this large financial obligation is incredibly helpful to our students and their families.
All LCTI FBLA members that are attending the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference are expected to apply for the FBLA National Leadership Conference scholarship.
Applying for and receiving the award of the LCTI National Leadership Conference scholarship will help to substantially defray the out-of-pocket cost of LCTI FBLA members that plan on participating in the FBLA National Leadership Conference.
The FBLA National Leadership Conference Scholarship includes:
- $500 check
- complimentary registration to the National Leadership Conference ($195)
- Scholarship money must be used for conference and travel-related expenses. Up to 50 scholarships will be awarded each year.

Why Apply Now?
FBLA members should begin the process of completing their FBLA National Leadership Conference scholarship packet now in order to meet the April 15, 2025 deadline. Pennsylvania FBLA competitors that qualify in the top 4 will receive their invitation to the FBLA National Leadership Conference on Tuesday, April 9. This an awefully quick turnaround for scholarship application completion. Furthermore, as previous qualifers decline their invitations, it is possible that fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, or even ninth place will receive the invitation to the FBLA National Leadership Conference. This may occur after the April 15 scholarship deadline but before the final May 2 FBLA National Leadership Conference deadline.
FBLA members should apply for the FBLA National Leadership Conference scholarship in advance of their invitation to the event. In the event that the scholarship is awarded and no invitation to the FBLA National Leadership Conference is received, the FBLA member may simply decline the scholarship and the next prospective scholarship recipient will be awarded the scholarship. Ultimately, each year 50 FBLA National Leadership Conference scholarships are awarded. The awards are not necessarily being presented to the top 50 selected scholarship applicants as determined by the FBLA scholarship selection committee.
All FBLA National Leadership Conference scholarship applications should be completed by LCTI FBLA attendees before we depart for the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference on Sunday, April 6.
