SLC Update 07: Open Competitive Test selection deadline is Friday!
FBLA members attending the State Leadership Conference may participate in Open Competitive testing in order to win additional state recognized awards. These awards will recognize the top ten qualifiers in 15 different Open Competitive testing events.
All LCTI FBLA members must select at least three (3), but not more than five (5), Open Competitive testing events.
LCTI FBLA members that do not select their Open Competitive testing events by the deadline at 11:59pm on Friday, February 28, 2025 will be signed up to compete in the following three events:
- Career Readiness
- Consumer Skills
- Financial Literacy
There are no standards, tasks, or any study materials for the Open Competitive testing events.
Each test is a maximum of 30 minutes. Each test is a maximum of 50 questions, primarily multiple choice.
The events are NOT open book, open notes, open research; outside resources are NOT permitted. No collaboration is permitted. All tests are individual student tests.
The Top 10 winners in each open competitive event will be shown on the screens at the State Leadership Conference Opening Session on Monday night, April 8, at the Giant Center. The first-place winners will be called to the stage to receive their awards certificate.

All Open Competitive testing events will be administered on select days the week of March 24 through 28 in D-201 / Computer Information Technology with Mrs. Rarick as your proctor. Open Competitive testing events are NOT open book, open notes, or open research. The Open Competitive testing MUST be completed with Mrs. Rarick as the test proctor in D-201 / Computer Information Technology.
