Uniform Reminder

A reminder as we enter the fourth quarter, Professionals in the field of new media technology have an expectation from their employers to appear as a professional within the industry. As per LCTI policy and in accordance with the expectation of business and industry, students within the IT Academy will be required to wear uniform in accordance with the expectation of the professional workplace.

Uniforms will consist of the following formats including:

  1. Business Casual:
    LCTI polo shirt. The student may change into the polo shirt prior to entering the lab. Pants or shorts in either black, khaki, gray, jeans, or joggers. Shoes or sneakers in a single coordinating color. A sweater or sweatshirt of coordinating colors may be under the polo shirt during cooler months. Nothing may be worn over the LCTI polo shirt.
  2. Business Professional / Competition Attire:
    Men: Solid color button down shirt, necktie, dress pants (no jeans, shorts, or cargos). A suit jacket is optional.
    Women: Casual slacks (no jeans or shorts) or a skirt extending below the knees when seated and a solid color twill or poplin button down blouse that is fully buttoned.
    Students participating in active enrollment Military or ROTC activities at home school shall be governed under the business professional dress code.

Failure top appear in uniform will result in a disciplinary referral and an employability grade point grade of zero (0) for the day.
