I was absent today. Do I need to complete the daily work assignments?

In the case of an absence, the requirement to complete work assignments is dependent upon your absence type:  

Is it an EXCUSED absence or an UNEXCUSED absence?

Do you have fewer than 10 absences?  If so... then...

Did a parent or guardian phone your absence in to the attendance line at LCTI?  If so, it is an EXCUSED absence.  If not, it is an UNEXCUSED absence.

Will you be bringing an absence excuse on the day following your absence?  If so, it is an EXCUSED absence.  If not, it is an UNEXCUSED absence.

In the case of EXCUSED absences:
Students ARE NOT responsible for completing the daily work activities.  All daily work assignments are exempted in the case of an excused absence.

In the case of an UNEXCUSED ABSENCES:
Students ARE responsible for completing the daily work activities.  All daily work assignments are required.  Assignments not submitted on or before the deadline will be scored as a zero (0).

Please note that any student in excess of ten (10) absences per school year will require a note from a licensed medical practitioner in order to be considered EXCUSED absence.  For any student in excess of 10 absences per school year that returns to LCTI without a note from a licensed medical practitioner, the absences shall be considered an UNEXCUSED absence.
